Beautiful place with extremely well maintained bathrooms and grounds. The camp hosts were kind and efficient, constantly checking the bathrooms and trash. Amazing views and the food lockers were a welcome surprise. The view of the valley and the mountain range on the other side were unbelievable to sit and stare at over the fire.
Beautiful campground! The toilets are well maintained. There is a lockable bear box at every camp site for food. Each campsite is far enough apart, that unless you've got ' noisemakers' you won't notice your neighbors. WARNING! The 3.5 mile road up to the campground is TERRIBLE! Not well maintained, but it's worth the excruciating drive. The hike to the Falls is quite beautiful, but to make it all the way to the Falls, you have to tread a bit of water, and it's FREEZING.
This is a really nice place. Sites are first come first served. Be careful on the way up the road after the turn off of 150. The road is extra rocky but you can definitely do it in a regular sedan if you go slow.
If you want to get away from the crowds this might not be the best spot. Try off season and you might be lucky to get a site without a reservation. Totally worth it though, the view is great. But have fun getting up there, it's a bumpy ride.
The drive up there was exciting (3.6 miles and a 1,000feet the guide said) and when you get there there is no water, no shade, high winds all night and flies..... mosquitoes, deer flies, sand flies, horse flies, fly flies, robber flies.... you name them. June and July to be avoided at all costs for the flies. There are 2 trails to hike... one too short and one too long. Oh well.....
